Common Questions
The app isn't showing my location
This usually means location permissions aren't enabled yet. Head to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > EVcourse and select "While Using the App". The nearby charger finder is currently available on iOS only.
Can I use the app offline?
Yes, partly. Step-by-step troubleshooting guides work fully offline, so you can get help even with no signal at a remote charger. The charger screen scan, team sync, and feedback logging need an internet connection.
The scanner says camera access is denied
The charger screen scanner needs camera access to read charger screens. Go to Settings > EVcourse and enable Camera. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > EVcourse > Permissions > Camera. Photos never leave your device. The camera is used only for on-device text recognition (OCR).
The scan didn't recognize my charger screen
Make sure the screen text is clearly visible and well-lit. Hold your phone steady and avoid glare. The scanner works best when the charger screen text is readable. If it still doesn't match, the text is sent to our AI service for interpretation. Some very unusual screens or languages may not be recognized yet.
How many scans do I get per day?
You get 5 AI-powered scans per day without an account, or 10 per day if you sign in with Apple. The limit resets at midnight UTC. Local matches (from the on-device database) don't count toward this limit.
How do I suggest new content?
Email nina@evcourse.com or use the contact form with your suggestion. We add new charger screen matches and scenarios regularly based on what real drivers encounter.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile > Delete Account in the app. This removes your account and all associated data from our servers. You can also email nina@evcourse.com to request deletion.
How do I create or join a team?
Open the app and go to the Log tab. You'll see the option to create a new team or join an existing one with a team code. Teams are free.
What happens to my data if I leave a team?
Your previously submitted feedback stays with the team (it's anonymous). Future feedback will no longer sync to that team. Your local data on your device is not affected.
